What is a broadfork?
A broadfork is a tool used for tilling soil in the garden. Its advantage over conventional digging forks is that it allows you to work much faster, deeper, and with less effort.
What material is the Broadfork made of?
Only high-strength tool steel is used for the tines. This steel is three times stronger than regular steel (structural steel).
Is there a warranty on Broadfork?
We provide a two-year warranty on our products from the date of purchase.
What is the difference between a broadfork, a grelinette, a double digging fork, and a wide digging fork?
These are different terms with different origins, but they all refer to a soil cultivation device with a wide working width. We use the English term "broadfork."
What distinguishes the TERRADIX Broadfork from models from other digging fork manufacturers?
- Unique material selection (high-strength tool steel with 3 times the strength)
- Optimized, lightweight construction with extreme stability
- Optimized ergonomics
- Optimal customer service
- Fair price-performance ratio
Is the Broadfork also suitable for heavy soils?
Yes, this digging fork is suitable for all soil types. The long handlebar lever, sturdy tines, and large tread allow for use even in difficult conditions.
How can I increase the humus content in my garden?
The humus content can be increased by regularly adding organic matter (green waste, compost) and by promoting soil fauna (microorganisms, earthworms, woodlice, etc.). This requires gentle soil cultivation with a digging fork. Completely ploughing or tilling the soil should be avoided.
We have compiled further information under Humus Building in the Garden.
Where can I buy the Broadfork?
You can order your Broadfork directly from us in the TERRADIX shop.
Is it worth growing your own fruit and vegetables?
It all depends. If you value high-quality fruit and vegetables and grow a large portion of them yourself, you can save up to several thousand euros per year per household . Organic vegetables are more expensive than conventionally grown ones, especially if purchased locally rather than at a discount store. An average-sized home garden, with proper use and seasonal planning, can provide a family with plenty of organic fruit and vegetables throughout the year.
