Bestellung kam flux und zuverlässig. Jetzt muss die Zeit zeigen, ob es sich gelohnt hat. Ich habe es gestern eingebuttelt und befüllt mit 37 übergroßen Kartoffeln und Sand. Der Boden und eine zweite Schicht habe ich eingefüllt und noch mehr als die Hälfte Platz sind vorhanden. Super

Ein hervorragendes Produkt! Wir haben lange nach einer Methode gesucht, um Sellerie, Rote Bete, Karotten etc. über Winter frisch zu halten. Alte Wäschetrommeln findet man kaum noch und eingegrabene Blumentöpfe weisen längst nicht so eine gute Raumnutzung auf. Die Erdmiete von Terradix ist einfach und wertig konstruiert, bietet viel Raum und ist leicht befüllbar. Man merkt, dass hier eine Lösung von Praktikern für die Praxis erdacht wurde. Optimales Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis!

Finde ich eine tolle Idee. Die Verarbeitung finde gut und sauber ausgeführt. Die Schnappverschlüsse sind praktisch zum schnellen Öffnen der Erdmiete. Ruckzuck eingegraben gewesen und befüllt worden. :-)

Can I mix different types of vegetables in the root cellar?

Yes, that's possible. However, the individual pieces of vegetables shouldn't touch. It's best to leave some space between the different types or place a small wooden board between them. Also, make sure everything is sufficiently covered with sand.

Does the earth cellar also work in summer?


Yes, very good indeed. The soil temperature remains relatively low even in summer, so the vegetables in the earth cellar stay fresh for months.

When should I fill the earth cellar?
  • For summer storage, you can gradually fill the earth clamp throughout the entire harvest season.
  • For winter storage , we recommend filling the earth clamp in autumn.
What do I need to pay attention to so that the vegetables last a long time?

It's important that the vegetables are completely covered with sand and that the sand remains consistently moist , but not wet. Absolutely avoid waterlogging. In very low temperatures or during periods of very strong, prolonged sunlight, you should cover the container with an additional layer (e.g., leaves, straw, or a blanket).

Do I need to treat the vegetables before storing them?

No, the vegetables should not be washed before storage. The leaves must be removed, but please do not cut them, rather tear them off. This helps retain more moisture in the vegetables and they will keep longer.

Do I need to replace the sand every year?

No, a complete annual replacement of the sand is not necessary. Only if the sand is heavily soiled or has a strong odor is it recommended to partially or completely replace it.
